You are Special...

Once upon a time, there lived a little boy named Punchinello. He was a little boy that was carved out of wood. He wasn’t the only little wemmick there were millions more, they were all carved out of wood and they were also carved by the same wemmick maker. Then he realised that they weren’t just the same because some were tall, some were not, some were smart, some were not, some wore hats and some didn't. Punchinello always got plain grey stickers stuck on him and one day people just put them on him just because he always did dumb stuff.

One day there was a girl named Lucia who didn't have any stars or plain grey stickers stuck on her. It was because when people ran up to her and put stars or plain grey dots on her it will just fall right off. It was so amazing that it wouldn't stick, Punchinello saw the stickers fall off and then he said to Lucia “How come they're not sticking?” Then she said “I go and see Eli everyday, I sit in his work shop and I watch him” Punchinello replied “What do you do for it to stop sticking though?” Lucia said “Go find out yourself and see Eli”. Punchinello said “Would he want to see me?”. Then he went home and arose the the next morning to have a talk with Eli.

When Punchinello arrived at Eli’s factory on the hill, Punchinello opened the door and walked in. Punchinello heard a strange sound say “Hello Punchinello” but it was Eli, Punchinello said “How do you know my name?” Eli said “I’m your maker that's how I know your name” then Eli stretched his hand out to pick Punchinello up and put him on his table, and Punchinello asked his question “How do you make stickers stop sticking on your body?” Eli replied “You have to believe in yourself and don’t think about what other people think of you”. Punchinello said “Why do you care about me?” Eli said “I care about you because I made you” then Punchinello walked out the door and went back home. The next day Punchinello awoke from his sleep and remembered what Eli said to him then he went outside and people ran up to him and tried to put stickers on him, but it will just keep falling off. Punchinello had a lovely life starting from that very first day they fell off. Punchinello lived happily ever after.

Swimming!!!

On one Sunny morning, Room:6 and Room:8 combined together went for their very first day of swimming in our very new Swimming pool on Wednesday morning. But just for you to know, our pool water is so warm you can even swim in the pool in Winter, Spring and Autumn, when we hoped into the pool all we felt was nice refreshing water tickling the bottom of our feet and nice and warm water splashing into our face’s. Also when we all felt nice and calm, we got on with our swimming lessons and also we got on to playing fun and exiting games like: Sam-on says and also Captains coming. Finally when our time was finished in side the pool, we had to walk to the steps and got our towels then we had to go to the toilets and get changed back into our school uniform to go back to class. While we were getting change we were hard out laughing saying how cool it was when we first put our feet in side the pool and also talking about how fun it was when we were all learning how to swim even though some people who already knew how to swim. Also we were saying to each other how proud we are to know how to swim and that we were happy that Miss Oldfield said that she was so proud of us, and we were so happy when we heard her say that to us, I just felt like having a little cry, also I liked it how Miss Oldfield put us in groups called group A and group B, group A was the group with the people that was not confident to swim and group B was the group that was people that is confident to swim,

The End!!!

My Holiday Recount!!!

In the school holidays, on the last week of the on Friday, I went to a family thing that we do every following week . I went with my Nana, Grandpa, my cousin Anthony and my older brother Phoenix . We went to do the bread run.
If your trying to figure out what the bread run is, it is something that my Auntie started doing. It is when some people from a family come and get some bread for their whole family to share. It is only a little bit of people that come from two families and get the bread.
The place we do the bread run at is at Bakers delight, the business is run by a bunch of Turkish people.
When we finished getting the bread we went home and started putting the bread in big bags to give away to other parts of our family.

The next day on Saturday the 30Th of July, my two Aunties Hope and Lulu and I also went with my sister and my Nana to the Movies to watch Transformers 3 in 2d, 2d stands for (2 dimensional ) . It was so fun, I almost burst out laughing with joy. When the movie started my Auntie Hope said “shut up” to my sister and I the movie because the movie had started, so we stopped talking and started enjoying the movie. A few minutes after that my auntie Lulu asked all of us if we wanted some Chips and a drink . Me and my sister were hungry so we said “yes please”, then she gave us some chips and a drink to have. We were watching the movie peacefully until the movie had finished.
Finally the movie had finished so then we went home and ate some more, then we had to go to sleep early because we had Church the next day.ool holidays, on the last week of the on Friday, I went to a family thing that we do every following week . Kite Making

Kite Making!!!

Kite making on Monday morning, was so fun it was like we had to make a big kite for each class, but instead we had to make our own one, (but just to let you know, if we had to make one big one for each class, I’ll pull all my hair out and say “Excuse Me” so loud so that the whole world can hear me.)

Mean while, we were almost finished colouring it and also putting the kite altogether. When I was making my own kite I was thinking about my culture and also my family. I went ahead and started putting my brothers and sisters names on it. After that I put all over my kite Samoa 4 life & also New Zealand Rugby League, the short way of saying it is NRL.

After that, Allie (the person who taught us how to make Kites) started telling us why we were making the kites, she said we made it because of the Matariki Festival, and we were also learning about other cultures kites. We were also learning how long and how big they are, also how much it weighs and now heavy they are.

So that is the whole reason why we were making Kites and also learning about other cultures Kites, it was all because of the Matariki festival.

Zheiyna-Blog Post.

Having my own blog is so cool, because having people from around the world look at it means a lot to me. Having them look at my work makes me feel like I just want to keep putting my work on to my blog. Also I like it when they leave comments for me to read and also when people from around the world tells me what they like about my writing.

Able to sit next to our friends!!

We should be able to sit next to our friends so when our teacher tells us to do something in groups, we can work with our friends. Also we should be able to sit next to our friends so that we do not fight, like you do when you sit next to people you don’t get along with. Plus we should be able to sit next to our friends so that when we a told to find a group of five to perform a play to the class. You can just get in a group with your friends and then you can be able to perform to the class. Instead of getting in a group with people you do not get on with. That is why you should be able to sit next to your friends, so you can bags them first and its better then fighting with people you don’t get on with. I tell you this because I’ve seen it happen. Hope you enjoyed reading why we should be able to sit next to our friends!!

Athletics

On one sunny Friday, at St Pius X school, the whole entire school had athletics. It was so sunny and hot I almost fainted and it was so hot people almost melted like ice-cream on a cone.
I participated in Geckos with my brother and sister. It was so fun and tiring at the same time. It was almost like my brother was the most popular boy in our group because lots of people were cheering for him like they hadn’t even forgotten his name. He was so fast he participated in all his races and he didn’t give up. I only participated in the 200 meter race and also mostly all the races for the 9 year old girls. It was like I was the littlest girl in the races.

I was amazed that I always came second in my races, I was so happy that I
was trying my hardest while I was participating in running my fastest. It was so hard trying to win my races with my parent's cheering me on. But it did’t matter after all, cause they just sat back and just didn’t care if they came 1,2,3 or last. So when I saw them not over reacting I just sat back and relaxed and did not even care, I was just happy I came something in athletics. It was so amazing and also exciting too.

I felt happy that I was not reacting like a little baby. And just to let you know, Keas means (blue) and Tuis means (red) and Kiwis mean (yellow) and finally the team that came first in everything was the team called (Geckos!!!). We were obviously the winners so far. Geckos means (green), I was happy to be in the winning team.
